"The US Senate has recently approved a draft Pentagon’s budget for 2019, which envisages an increase in the security assistance to Ukraine up to USD 250 million," -- Andriy Parubiy
Opening the morning session on Wednesday, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy stated that "The United States Senate carried a draft Pentagon’s budget for 2019 with an increase in the security assistance to Ukraine up to USD 250 million, topping the last year’s figure by USD 50 million".
According to A.Parubiy, the funds are allocated, in particular, for the intelligence support of Ukraine’s army and security forces.
"During my visit to Washington this summer, at every meeting at the Congress, the State Department and Pentagon, I used to say that the US military technical assistance is also a great symbolic step of supporting Ukraine, that fights against the Russian aggressor," said A. Parubiy – Just a week ago I talked over that assistance with the US Department of State's Special Representative Kurt Volker here at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".
The Chairman thanked Ukraine’s allies and the like-minded friends from the United States of America for the support mentioned above.
"Our overseas friends are well aware that the ongoing Donbas war is not only for Ukraine and its future - there is the battle for the future of the whole free world!" highlighted the Speaker A.Parubiy.
