The politician, together with the speakers of Georgia, Lithuania, Moldova and the Deputy Marshal (Vice-Speaker) of the Polish Senate Adam Bielan, shall meet with Paul Ryan, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and other high-ranking US executives.
Afterwards, a range of additional task meetings shall be held with Andrea L.Thompson, the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, Laura Cooper, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, A.Wess Mitchell, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, the upper echelons of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation and the Congressional Ukrainian Caucus.
In conjunction with the Georgian, Lithuanian and Moldovan speakers, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament is there also to partake in an international conference focusing on the pressing issues of the global security closely associated with the Russian aggression, and in the Atlantic Council’s discussions.
The said speaker team shall lay flowers at the 1932-33 Holodomor victims’ memorial to commemorate their blessed memory.
On the Constitution Day’s public function at the Ukrainian Embassy, there will take place a road show of the movie dedicated to Oleh Sentsov’s infamous imprisonment.
