“The powerful political technologies of the Kremlin are all aimed at a smashing defamation and a wide political handover of the pro-European forces in Moldova in order to get the country back under influence of the Russian Federation,” – Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andriy Parubiy
In the course of his visit to Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, on March 2, 2018 which had been scheduled to take part in the High Level Inter-parliamentary Conference: “Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Eastern Partnership and Current Security Challenges”, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy replied in detail to the questions asked by reporters.
Political imbroglio in Moldova
Turning to the issue of the ongoing political turmoil in the country, the Ukrainian high official informed that he had bottomed the methods the Russian aggression had been and was conducted through, while his being Ukraine’s security supremo in particular. With “dead certainty” he noted that “a military element of the hybrid warfare Russia is still waging on is only a fraction of the process, and yet greater efforts are being made onto the information war segment”.
“When I was reading their – Russian - proxy war strategies, I was then much impressed upon by one of those crushing maxim [I quote]: ‘Throughout an object-of-attack country, there must be disaffection of any nature propagated over for the purpose of discrediting this very country and its authorities as well,” informed A.Parubiy.

Moldova too has a pro-European government, so – as A.Parubiy puts it – I am
sure we all are one in having similar problems before our three cabinets as
Russia’s propaganda is doing its utmost to defame the pro-European forces and
governments of our countries, having in mind to sweep them out, to let the
Russia loyals in the office and get the states back under the Russia’s greedy paw.
For all intents and purposes -- back to a semi-colony state.
In conclusion, the Chairman expressed his belief and his hope that “neither in Georgia, nor in Moldova or Ukraine these sordid actions will ever attain the aims, and the pro-European forces and movements which are in power there, shall do their best on their pathways to the European Union; and even their citizens willing to enter into a political debate, be brainy enough to comprehend that the European Choice, European vision is the only proper and moral decision for every country of ours”.
