A.Parubiy, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, opened the session.

The Speaker called on the Cabinet and the Parliament to unite for the sake of development, might and wealth of our country

“On June 28 it has passed 100 years since the first Ukrainian Government had been established. A hundred years ago the General Secretariat of the Central Rada was founded by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Central Rada – as a coalition ‘cabinet’ of the autonomous government of the Ukrainian National Republic”.

The Chairperson congratulated the Cabinet present in the House headed by the Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman with that historic date and wished the ministers and the parliamentarians the power and prosperity to our state.

The “Ask the Government” hour followed after that.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman and the Cabinet answered the questions of MPs. The Prime Minister thanked MPs for the great job they made, and yesterday in particular – the budget 2017, the pension reform, etc. “We shall be asking you this autumn to develop over these three reforms – education, health care, pension. All the laws will have been ready by that time for the second reading and be in need of our mutual promotion in order to change the country,” asserted V.Hroisman. The hour ended.

The MPs shifted to their announcements, statements, and proposals.

Iryna Herashchenko announced establishment of two new inter-factional MP alliances in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: “Rishuche” headed by Boryslav Bereza and “Health of Nation – Bedrock of State’s Prosperity” co-headed by Tetiana Bakhteieva and Valerii Karpuntsov.

The closing speech was delivered by Andriy Parubiy, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He informed that the session held 65 plenary meetings, 125 laws adopted, 186 resolutions accepted. According to the Chairperson, the 6th session approved important laws for Ukraine aimed at state building, national security, agrarian policy, environment, youth policy, road making, banking sphere.The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy proclaimed the 6th session closed.

The next 7th session of the Parliament of 8th convocation will take place on September 5, 2017.
