The Parliament’s chairperson Andrii Parubii shall visit Tbilisi, the Republic of Georgia on May 29-30 cy to participate in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session. The program of the visit provides plenty of meetings with numerous high level officials. The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada shall give a talk on the current situation, take part in debates and vote on the draft of declaration supporting Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia. A common statement of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Paolo Alli is also scheduled.

The Chairman noted that the meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly taking place in Tbilisi ‘is the signal of great importance for Georgia which paves its path to NATO like Ukraine does’.

‘And this is now my goal - to bring one of the future NATO PA’s session to Kyiv. It will be a big-time and symbolic step,’ comments he tersely. ‘Another goal is promote the idea of establishing an inter-Parliamentary assembly ‘Ukraine-Georgia-Moldova’’.

Khvycha Meparishvili, the Head of the Inter-Parliamentary Liaison Group with Georgia, Ihor Dolhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Georgia, and Iryna Friz, the Head of the Permanent Parliamentary Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will take part in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session too.
