Hanna Hopko, the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, had today a meeting with Salem Ahmed Salem Al Kaabi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates in Ukraine.
In her welcoming speech, the сommittee head thanked the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador for the all-round support of Ukraine by the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, there were discussed the issues of developing the bilateral inter-parliamentary dialogue, ways of further deepening and institutionalization of the mutual relations, as well as exchange of visits at the highest level.
The parties discussed development prospects of the bilateral cooperation and preparatory works for the holding of the third meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-UAE commission on trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of mutually beneficial economic projects, including Ukraine's participation in the World Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition, in particular.
Among other things, the UAE party informed H.Hopko about launching on July 6 the International Parliament of Tolerance and Peace, and invited Ukraine to join in the new initiative.
