The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the evening session.
There has then started consideration of the second reading bill No.7466 on effective management of the proprietary rights of copyright holders in the field of copyright and related rights. Reviewing the bill is to be continued at subsequent meetings.
The Speaker of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada A.Parubiy informed that he has signed the resolution "On supporting the Presidential address to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on granting Tomos of Autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church".

On organic produce: Draft bill No.5448-d
Taken on the first reading was there the bill on the ground principles of organic production, its circulation and labelling. The bill envisages improving the legal framework for organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products, as well as harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the appropriate legislation of the European Union.
The draft bill proposes to institute a system of rights and obligations of subjects of the organic products market, in particular, the market operators and certification bodies.
The draft law regulates the requirements for the production, marking and circulation of organic produce, clearly establishes the basic principles of organic certification, with its sectoral specification at length.
The paper is to introduce a clear and transparent mechanism for registration of the certification bodies, the market operators and organic seeds, to determine the mechanism of state control (supervision) over activities of the organic market participants, and to establish liability for violations of the related legislation.
This instrument also establishes requirements for the substances that are permitted for use in organic production and that are allowed to be utilized in the maximum permissible values, and also determines the authorization procedure for use of the above substances.
Under separate cover, there has been proposed to determine requirements for storage, transportation, marketing, declaration and labelling of organic products.
