The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the session.

He informed the audience about the agenda items to be considered at the beginning of the meeting.

Representatives of parliamentary factions and groups made their announcements, statements, reports, and proposals.

The Chairman called it “a historic opportunity” that the Parliament is to consider today the Presidential address to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on granting Tomos of Autocephaly to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.

By 240 ayes, the House put the Presidential address issue (resolution No.8284) on the order of the day for its immediate consideration.

On one-off outpayments to alien servicemen: Draft bill No.6689

Taken was there the bill amending the law of Ukraine on military duty and service regarding one-off out-payments for death, disability or partial disablement of foreigners or apatrides, serving for the Ukrainian armed forces. The altered law now covers these two categories, entitling them to getting the above out-payments on a par with the citizens of Ukraine.

By 268 ayes, the Parliament backed the Presidential address to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on granting Tomos of Autocephaly to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
