The First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Presidential aide on peaceful settlement of the Donetsk-Luhansk clashes Iryna Herashchenko met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine Davide La Cecilia to talk over the security, humanitarian and environmental situation in the Donbas, the ongoing challenges to the TCG’s working groups and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, and the state of affairs in the occupied Crimea.
The Italian Ambassador informed that Italy under its chairmanship of the OSCE pays special attention to humanitarian issues, in particular to protection of civilian population.
He observed that Italy is ready to intensify cooperation with Ukraine in the field of humanitarian demining.
During the meeting, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy Davide La Cecilia discussed the pressing issues of the bilateral and inter-parliamentary dialogue.
