In the focus of this day, there are three committees of the Parliament:

On December the 14th, there took place hearings on the theme “E-governance Basics in Election Process”.
Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations
A round table on the human rights guarantees under international standards was held at the committee recently. It was also focused on international practices and hands-on assistance renderable to those people who suffered from the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine.
In the course of the event discussions, it was stressed that according to the United Nations’ findings there were ten thousand persons killed, some thirty thousand wounded, 500 to 1,500 ones gone missing as well as a million and a half odd of internally displaced persons during the four years of the conflict -- the figures that may take aback. The only diplomatic confines – the Minsk process and the Normandy format – have failed to settle the problem. There is an acute need to find new ways to solve the issue, including both a state by state level of contacts and interpersonal communications as well.
A deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and a deputy minister of the Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine delivered their overviews on the Donbas situation and the social consequences of the clash.
It was then pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities had violated the forced migrants’ rights through taking some legal discriminating enactments and, for instance, pruning the 2018 state budget allocations for the internally displaced persons and long-lasting neglecting of the two IDPs’ rights draft bills – No.6240 on their electoral rights and No.6692 on retirement pays (pensions) to IDPs and those Ukrainian citizens who left in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine – which had been long ago submitted to the Parliament for consideration.
In one voice, a wide range of international and national experts partaking in the roundtable pointed out some apparent blunders the high authorities committed regarding the forced migrants:
