A.Herasimov, the head of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Permanent delegation to OSCE PA was elected Vice-Chair of the Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment.
On July 7, 2017 there were regular elections of the Committee’s Chair and the Vice-Chair held at a Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment sitting within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly 26th Annual Session in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus.
The head of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Permanent delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly Artur Herasimov was unanimously elected to be the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment.
Reelection of the Ukrainian parliamentarian for this significant post has made it feasible for Ukraine to participate in the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The President, Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, Officers of the three General Committees and President Emeritus serve in the Bureau. They are all elected by the Assembly at the Annual Sessions. The Bureau is responsible for ensuring that the decisions of the Standing Committee are carried out, with its decisions taken by two-thirds majority vote.Nota bene.
