On Tuesday, 23 April, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions.

In particular, MPs dismissed members of the Accounting Chamber.

Adopted as a whole:

No. 10397 – amended the Law of Ukraine “On the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes” regarding the management of funds in foreign currency.

No. 10094 – amended certain legislative acts of Ukraine to strengthen the capacity of supervisory boards of healthcare institutions and extend the simplified period for reorganisation into state non-profit enterprises. The document allows state and municipal healthcare institutions to appoint foreigners or stateless persons (except for citizens of the russian federation and belarus) to their supervisory boards.

No. 10427-1 – amended certain laws of Ukraine regarding the distribution of cotton varieties in Ukraine. The document is aimed at covering the resource needs in cotton to meet the needs of the domestic industry during the period of martial law.

No. 10177 – amended certain laws of Ukraine regarding the development of individual educational trajectories and improvement of the educational process in higher education. The document, in particular, details the concept of an individual educational trajectory for higher education students, providing for the choice of educational programmes, educational entities that implement them, types, forms and duration of education, educational components and their level of complexity, etc.

Adopted as a basis:

No. 9518 – proposed amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine” to improve the legal regulation of the institute of starostas and its activities under martial law.

No. 9116 – the draft law on forest reproductive resources was adopted as a basis. The document will create a new system of regulation and control of activities related to the receipt and sale of forest reproductive material integrated with EU standards.

No. 9364 – proposed amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code of Ukraine to improve liability for illicit trafficking in excisable goods. The document is aimed at strengthening the fight against illicit trafficking of excisable goods: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, e-cigarette liquids, alcohols and fuel.

No. 10393 – proposed to amend certain laws of Ukraine to regulate the powers of central executive authorities in the field of energy efficiency.

No. 11092 – proposed to amend certain laws of Ukraine to improve the system of initial general military training.
