Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Ukrainian Parliament held a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration.
On November the 30th, Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko had a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration Violeta Ivanov.
The parties highlighted further strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue and enhancing cooperation through exchange of experience to solve common problems – internal reforms, fighting corruption, opposing aggression etc.
During the meeting, there was also stressed the importance of closer collaboration between the both countries within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the PABSEC PA and other international organizations.
The Committee Head H.Hopko pointed out Ukraine has always been rendering a sustainable support to Moldova’s territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders, and this standpoint is firm.
Violeta Ivanov, in her turn, confirmed that the Republic of Moldova has been and is going strong on Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
With the aim to extend the inter-parliamentary dialogue, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration Violeta Ivanov invited a delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs to take a visit to the Republic of Moldova in the near future.
