‘Today, 154 to 197 there were parliamentarians in the House to have cast their votes in favor of Pedro Agramunt to be removed from office.'

The First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament Iryna Herashchenko drew attention that the Agramunt’s visit to Syria combined with the Russian Federation Duma’s deputies seems to be inadmissible for a PACE representing person. None of the PACE bodies had him empowered to undertake to that effect.

Within their working span of the Third part of the 2017 Ordinary PACE Session, the Ukrainian delegates have done a thorough deal of work to launch dismissal of the PACE’s head currently in office. Thirteen amendments to the draft resolution had been submitted on the eve of the dismissal voting day, but were it exactly Ukrainians who managed to kill off all the alterations capable of barring the head’s removal procedure.

‘Today, 154 to 197 there were parliamentarians in the House to have called for a vote of confidence over the highest presiding officer, who compromises the organization on the whole,’ denoted I.Herashchenko. The PACE’s president in office Pedro Agramunt has then been stripped of all the powers, including representative ones.

‘We have high hopes that the next fall, the October PACE session, will become a real fall from office for this “president of discredit”,’ added Iryna Herashchenko.
