Recent developments in Ukraine have formed a strong and freedom-loving nation. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said this in the interview to “Cenzor” internet resource.
“The most important thing is that a strong and freedom-loving nation has been formed. Ukrainian nation has not only protected the right to determine its way, but also showed its readiness to defend its freedom and independence with weapon,” he stressed.
Responding to questions, Chairperson of the Parliament also noted that “average citizens, who realized their responsibility to the country on Maidan, were the main force that saved Ukraine from chaos and sabotages in Kyiv and other cities.”
“They won in the fight and then preserved and protected the new authority. And now they defend Ukraine’s independence with weapon in their hands,” he stressed. “This shocking self-awareness and collective intelligence of Ukrainians is the X-factor that Putin does not understand and than was underestimated by Kremlin. It prevented Ukraine from being captured and destroyed.”
