Celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Pre-School Education, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Association of Pre-School Education Workers, were held on September 26 in the Kyiv Teacher's House.
Lilia Hrynevych congratulated pre-school education workers on their professional holiday. In her speech she said "No reform in education is possible if a teacher, an educator or a lecturer does not have a decent place in the society. On September 6 the Law "On Higher Education" was enforced. This is the first system reform which we managed to implement since the Revolution of Dignity".
Ukraine should introduce the practice of many civilized countries – it is necessary to allow a wider distribution of private pre-school educational establishments if the country is unable to engage all children in the pre-school education.
In her words, Americans counted that every dollar invested in pre-school education will save 7 dollars per person in the general situation in the country. People who earlier started their pre-school education, in the future will have more chances for a better education and a better life.
"We have a lot of tasks and challenges. We need to work together. We will live through these times together and we will live in a new country which thousands of people lost their lives for", claimed the Chairperson of the Committee.
An exhibition of development literature and games, master classes, and round table discussions were held within the framework of this event.
