The bill (Reg. No. 2697) is aimed at improving the stock market functioning by amending the Laws “On state register of legal entities and individuals-entrepreneurs” and “On securities and stock market”.
It was mentioned that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat voiced several remarks and proposals to certain provisions of the bill. It also paid attention to non-compliance of several bill provisions with the Law “On the protection of economic competition”, etc.
There was a discussion of the proposals for the necessity of confirming by a Ukrainian audit firm the audit report of a foreign country on the financial status of a foreign legal entity at the end of the last complete calendar year, in case the person is a founder of a legal entity who intends to carry out professional activity on the Ukrainian stock market. The people’s deputies voiced some critical remarks to these novelties. According to the Committee’s decision, the proposal to exclude these provisions during the consideration of the bill in the first hearing is adopted.
