The topic of discussion was industrial policy and stimulation of economic development in Ukraine.
Chairperson of the Committee presented a model of industrial policy and spoke about the course of introducing an initiative on creating the Anti-crisis economic headquarters on the basis of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Experts presented the results of research on the dynamics of the Ukrainian export and import in 2014. This data showed considerable decrease of Ukrainian export in the sphere of engineering products.
In connection with this, German experts provided a range of recommendations:
- eliminating negative internal factors;
-stimulating export to the EU member-states through implementation of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area and introduction of international standards;
- developing financial instruments for stimulating export;
- establishing an integrated system of stimulating export.
The Parties stressed the importance to establish a dialogue between the legislative and executive authorities and representatives of the industrial sector and agreed to jointly promote its implementation.
Next meeting is planned for April, 2015.
