The event took place in Kyiv on February 26 - 27, 2015.

Addressing participants of the event, Committee Chair mentioned: “We need to build horizontal relations to help people understand their identity and secure the right of a person of any nationality to feel confident in their own country – Ukraine.”

“Reconciliation is a key word of our future. And education is one of the ways to reconciliation. Knowledge of history of our own country, ability to critically comprehend information, understanding of our identity and common values are the basis for reconciliation,” noted Liliia Hrynevych.

Forum was organized by the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) and NGO Integration and Development Center for Information and Research.

The event pools the results of the project “Common future of Ukrainian society after Maidan. Promoting mutual understanding and cooperation in conflict prevention” that has been implemented with the financial support by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany since August 2014.
