USAID Project "Confident business - prosperous community" (implementing urgent reforms for improving business environment in Ukraine) is implemented by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).

The event was dedicated to discussion of possibilities for improving the draft law on state assistance to the development of small and medium business in Ukraine.

Foreign experts stressed importance of this bill for small and medium business, as well as for economy of Ukraine in general; they also expressed key recommendations necessary to be taken into account when refining this bill.

To achieve this aim, the Parties agreed to further cooperate in a format of holding meetings on elaborating this urgent bill with experts and representatives of business associations. 

Advisor of the USAID Project "Confident business - prosperous community" Laszlo Kallay (Hungary), Advisor of the Project Liubomyr Chornii (Ukraine), Project Manager Oksana Oliinykova, CIPE Regional Manager Anthony Chang (Washington, USA), Project Management Specialist, Office of Economic Growth of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Yevhenia Malikova (Ukraine), Executive Director of "Innovative Development of Ukraine" Association Yurii Pyvovarov also participated in the meeting.    

Detailed discussion of the bill will be held during the National Conference "Assistance policy for developing business: challenges, European experience, prospects", organized by USAID Project "Confident business - prosperous community", will be held on January 29-30, 2015 with participation of Committee's Chairperson Viktor Halasiuk.
