The work plan stipulates holding in April, 2015, the committee hearings entitled "On temporary occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea" and hearings on the practice of applying the Law "On Cooperation of Local Communities" in June-July in one the Ukrainian regions where the most cooperation agreements were concluded.
Round table discussion entitled "Ways of improving legislation on local elections" shall be held in February-March jointly with the Committee on Judicial Policy and Justice, Central Election Commission, Agency for Legislative Initiatives, and other partner organizations.
Round table discussion on legal and social protection of a state official in Ukraine will be held jointly with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service in March; there also will be presented a new version of the Law "On the State Service".
All-Ukrainian association of local-self government "Association of Ukrainian cities" initiated holding a round table "Legislative preconditions for creating police of local self-government".
Round table dedicated to the Europe Day in Ukraine entitled "State (public) service in EU member-states and in Ukraine: main development tendencies" will be held in May, 2015, jointly with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, with participation of the All-Ukrainian NGO "Association for community self-organization assistance", a round table "Ways of improving legislation on community self-organization authorities" will be held in May, 2015.
With the support of Committee's partners – Council of Europe Program "Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Local Authorities in Ukraine", Swiss-Ukrainian project "Support to Decentralization in Ukraine" (DESPRO), and Program of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) "RADA: accountability, responsibility, democracy" – a round table "Problems and prospects of legislative regulation of service in local self-government authorities" is stipulated to be held in June.
