The committee shall carry on an international conference on reforming bankruptcy procedure in Ukraine based on world’s best practices as a tool to boost investments and foster economical breakthrough

Coupled with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Commercial Law Center, the Lawyers Association of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Banks Independent Association,  EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other partners, the  committee is set to conduct an international conference “Bankruptcy System Reforms in Ukraine: World’s Best Practices to Boost Investments and Economical  Breakthrough”.

The event shall take place on September 19, 2018 at 10:00 KT (registration starts at 09:30).

The venue: 9th entrance, Hrushevskoho Str., 18/2; Kyiv.

The conference agenda is to cover the following issues at least:

1.     The philosophy of bankruptcy reforming in Ukraine – the goal and legislative instruments aimed to refine the bankruptcy system. The bill No.8060: novelties in a draft of the Bankruptcy Procedure Code of Ukraine.

2.     Practicalities and problems in implementing corporate insolvency legislation: state of play and world’s best practices.

3.     Launching a bankruptcy procedure for individuals: risks and prospects.

4.     In search for an optimal self-regulation model of a bankruptcy commissioner (or a trustee in insolvency) as profession: standards, challenges and prospects.

The conferees invited are members of parliament, line ministers as well as representatives from the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Banks Independent Association, judges, trustees in insolvency, local and foreign experts, scientists, juridical and business delegates and the like.
