Hanna Hopko, head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament, met Ze’ev Elkin, the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, and the Minister of Environmental Protection.

The meeting took place on August 14.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on a wide range of issues of the bilateral relations.

Hanna Hopko, head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, pointed out a high level of the Ukrainian-Israeli inter-parliamentary dialogue and friendly, partnering relationships between the two countries.

The parties then discussed the prospects of signing a free-trade area agreement between Ukraine and Israel by the end of this year.

During the conversation, the parties broached issues relating to the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor.

Hanna Hopko also informed the Israeli side of the current situation in eastern Ukraine and human rights violations of in the temporarily occupied territories.
