The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the morning session.
The presiding officer gave the floor to representatives of parliamentary factions and groups who then made their announcements, statements, reports, and proposals.
Parliamentarians proceeded with the business of the day.
They have seen a draft resolution No.8418 on establishing parliamentary personalized fellowships (grants) to the most talented young scientists. The paper was taken by 232 ayes.
After the break, parliamentarians embarked on considering amendments to the draft law No.5435 on a legal status of missing persons. There were 69 amendments reviewed. The amendment work shall continue at the next plenary session.

There has been taken the resolution of the Parliament to establish 2018 personalized parliamentary grants for the most talented young scientists. Each of the grants equals two thousand hryvnias monthly.
On 2017 scientific grants: Draft resolution No.8419
There has been taken the resolution of the Parliament on bestowing the 2017 parliamentary grants to the most talented young scientists in the field of basic and applied researches.
