F i r s t  reading bills taken

 

On debts of defense-industrial sector: Draft bill No.6697

There was taken the bill amending a series of Ukraine’s laws on addressing indebtedness of certain enterprises (participants of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom”) in the defense-industrial sector (DIS) to an aggressor state or an occupier country.

The draft bill offers a range of tools for protecting business activities of some state-owned DIS companies of strategic importance to economy and security of the state against its poisoning by legal entities (or foreign-invested enterprises) somehow relating to the said aggressor and/or occupier country.

 

S e c o n d  reading bills taken

 

On duration of servicemen’s leave: Draft bill No.5512

They have passed the legislative enactment amending the law of Ukraine on legal and social protection of servicemen and their families with regard to excluding of inland travel time (within Ukraine, back and forth to their holiday (leave) destinations) from the duration of their annual leaves, provided the one-way trip lasts not longer than one day, and with holidays and off-duty days to be non-registering.

A serviceman (save conscript soldiers) is given an annual basic leave with pay and allowances retained, in addition to a recuperation cash aid amounting to a monthly money allowance.

Duration of annual leave is as follows:

-         for servicemen with a calendar long service under 10 years it makes thirty calendar days,

-         10-15 years – thirty-five days,

-         15-20 years – forty days,

-         over 20 years – forty-five days.

 

On social protection for participants of Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity (henceforth - “dignitees”) and some other persons: Draft bill No.8201

The new law alters a range of Ukraine’s basic laws to establish benefits and other social guarantees for the injured during the revolution, introduces some novelties regarding medico-social examinations of children as well as a series of new definitions in respect of the handicapped.

 

On 2018 UEFA events in Ukraine: Draft bill No.8335

There was finally adopted the law that  entirely regulates the issues on securement and protection of the UEFA intellectual property during the UEFA Champions League Final in 2018 and the UEFA Women's Champions League Final in 2018 both to be held in Ukraine.

The law has respectively amended the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

 

 

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed the House of the progress in the anti-corruption court talks with the IMF and the Venice Commission on harmonization of the debatable issues of the law in dispute.

 

The presiding officer closed the meeting.
