The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the morning session.
He recalled that the day of struggle for the Crimean Tatars’ rights was marked that day and proposed to join in at noon the all-Ukrainian minute's silence to honour the blessed memory of the victims of the large-scale deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944.
The Chairman said that the meeting was attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman.
“Ask the Government” hour began.
After the hour, representatives of the parliamentary factions made their statements, propositions and announcements.
The Chairman of the Parliament closed the morning meeting.
The next plenary session shall take place on Tuesday, May 22.
