The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the session. The meeting was attended by the Ministers headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman.
“Ask the Government” hour started.
The Chairman gave the floor to the Minister of Social Policy Andrii Reva, who reported on important decisions of the Government that were adopted last Wednesday and aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of state programs for social protection of the disabled.
He noted that from the early days of this Government, there had been conducted an inventory of existing programmes, and it was then discovered that some of them did not achieve their goals as people were not fully able to meet their demands.
According to the Minister, the social effectiveness of such programs was quite low. The Cabinet has prepared some necessary changes to the implementation of the social protection programs for disabled people.
Jointly with the public, these decisions were developed by the President- and Government-authorized experts in the rights to the disabled.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko announced parliamentarians’ requests. They made their statements, announcements, suggestions.
