Hanna Hopko, the Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Borys Tarasiuk, Deputy Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Mariia Ionova, Acting Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration took part in a meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Initiative (Platform) of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, which was held in Cadenabbia, Italy recently.

The topic of the meeting was “Strategic Rethinking of the Eastern Partnership”. The meeting talks were focused on the trilateral cooperation in the realms of economy, transport, trade, and international security. Principal concern was devoted to the hybrid warfare being waged by Russia, the Eastern Ukraine problem settlement, the internal reforms of the initiative triple and the American support.

The sitting resulted in a joint сommunique signed by Tamar Khulordva, Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia, Head of National Delegation of Georgia to the EuroNest PA, Iurie Leanca, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Moldova, Marian Lupu, Co-President of the Euronest PA, Parliament of Moldova, Mariia Ionova, Acting Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Hanna Hopko, the Head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Borys Tarasiuk, Head of the National Delegation of Ukraine to the EuroNest PA.

The main goal of the сommunique was to elaborate a common stand of the three delegations in view of the forthcoming Eastern Partnership summit taking place in Brussels in the late November.
