The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has thanked Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius for Lithuania's support for Ukraine in terms of countering Russia's military aggression and noted that the "general plan of Putin lies not in destabilization of Ukraine alone."

According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the Russian aggressor has wider plans and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently protecting the whole free world "being there in Donbas."

Andriy Parubiy and Linas Linkevicius discussed the issues of regional cooperation, in particular, within the framework of the Baltic - Black Sea Union.

Besides, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said that the Republic of Poland suggests intensification of cooperation within the framework of the Intermarium.

The Foreign Affairs Minister of Lithuania expressed his support for introduction of visa-free travels to the European Union for the citizens of Ukraine and called for placing the whole border of Ukraine under control.
