The participants in the meeting were Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hanna Hopko, Deputy Chair of the Committee, Borys Tarasiuk, head of the Ukrainian parliamentary group for relations with the Republic of Estonia, Borsylav Bereza, Vice-Chancellor of Political Affairs of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kyllike Sillaste-Elling and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Ukraine Gert Antsu.

The visit of the Vice-Chancellor Kyllike Sillaste-Elling to Ukraine was dedicated to the discussion of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia, internal political situation in Ukraine, issues of Euro-Atlantic integration and international relations.

The participants in the meeting raised the question of the international economic sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation, discussed ways to settle the armed conflict in the east of our country, problems of internally displaced persons and de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The Ukrainian parliamentarians thanked representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Estonia for consistent support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state and for practical assistance in the fight against the Russian aggression.

The parties of the meeting paid particular attention to the work of the parliamentary group for relations with Estonia. Borsylav Bereza informed about a recent visit to Estonia conducted by the group. According to him, within the framework of the visit, the group representatives had meetings at the Estonian Parliament, Eastern Partnership Center, E-Estonia e-administration center and Ukrainian Culture Center in the city of Tallinn. The visit to Estonia was mainly dedicated to studying country's experience in implementation of European integration reforms, in particular, the ones touching effective functioning of financial and customs-tax systems of the state.

Mrs. Kyllike Sillaste-Elling noted that Estonia is committed to further supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and assisting in embodiment of European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of our state.
