The Parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, in particular, in the east of our country, the Report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on responsibility for murders in Ukraine between January 2014 and May 2016.

According to Fiona Frazer, the new UN Report published on Thursday contains information about murders in Ukraine since January 2014 and emphasizes almost no responsibility for them. According to the report, the conflict in Donetsk and Luhansk regions is mainly supported by the inflow of foreign militants and Russian weapons.

Ms. Frazer noted that the report also gives the number of people killed during mass gatherings in Kyiv and Odesa. She noted that court hearings on the case permanently face barriers and purposeful protractions.

In turn, Hryhorii Nemyria thanked the UN for its support to Ukraine in protection of human rights and freedoms as well as for the published Report, he said he would address Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Interior Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov, and Chairperson of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak requesting to consider the report and the recommendations it contains.
