First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Heraschenko has presented best thirteen employees of the ANTONOV company with the awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of foundation of the enterprise.
She thanked the employees of the enterprise and noted its unique achievements.
Iryna Heraschenko stressed that Ukraine is proud of its aircraft building enterprise engaged in the full circle of assembly.
The First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the work of this unique enterprise and its achievements facilitates the consolidation of the defense capacity of the state. "Our aggressive neighbor understands that Ukraine can enhance our army with modern aircraft." She said that legendary An-124 Ruslan and An-225 Mriya planes improve the image of Ukraine as a state having high technologies and modern production facilities.
The politician stressed that she had used the ANTONOV planes in a special mission - release of Ukrainian hostages Nadiya Savchenko, Yurii Soloshenko and Hennadii Afanasiyev in Rostov and Moscow.
She assured that the employees of the enterprise, design bureau can count on full Parliament's support in their important activity.
