"The more accurate the truth is, the more useful and safer it is for the people," journalist Andrii Kulykov said this at the meeting with parliamentary interns entitled "Journalist competence in the political discourse."

The participants in the Internship Program at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2015-2016) met with journalist / TV and radio host / media expert Andrii Kulykov.

The journalist told the interns about current state the Ukraine's media space is in, having noted that information is leveled and varies depending on news topics and the area it comes from, in particular, the east of Ukraine.

Along with the interns Kulykov recalled and discussed the issue of peculiarities of news topics during the Euromaidan, and consequences they had due to the artificially created sordid motives.

The media experts said that lots of news topics are currently created to undermine the authority of politicians, businessmen, law enforcement bodies, non-government organizations, etc.

The journalist also told about many interesting facts from his own life, very first steps in his career and reminded some facts from the history similar to the current events.

At the end of the meeting, the guest wished the interns inspiration and creativeness in their endeavors. He noted that journalists have to always remain honest, competent and confident of the use of their work.
