The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has hosted the USAID RADA Program's traditional meeting of International Parliamentary Technical Assistance Coordination.

Today's meeting was conducted with the participation of Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii, who highlighted the major priorities and needs of the Parliament. The donor organizations confirmed their support through the projects of technical assistance in reformation of the Parliament and implementation of the institutional reform in the Ukrainian legislature and its Secretariat following the recommendations of the Needs Assessment Mission of the European Parliament. "We have elaborated the system of reforms along with the European Commission and the Pat Cox's Mission, which have provided their recommendations and requests regarding further implementation of these reforms. Our task is to implement them at the earliest possible time," Parubii said.

Today’s gathering brought together about 40 persons representing international donor organizations/projects, embassies, CSOs, media and other organizations. Andrii Parubii assured that he would actively attract representatives of the donor community and non-government organizations to work on the reformation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in compliance with the Needs Assessment Mission's recommendations.
