The main goal of the event was to raise funds to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The tournament raised more than UAH 350 thousand, which will be used to purchase drones for our military.
The tournament was initiated and organised by the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Public Organisation “Dynamo of Ukraine”.
Opening the charity tournament, the Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Viacheslav Shtuchnyi, welcomed the participants and wished them victory. In his speech, he also noted that Dynamo is a reliable partner and that such charity tournaments should be held in other sports as well.
“We support such an initiative, it will make us stronger. I wish everyone victories and our main victory,” said the Secretary General of the Parliament of Ukraine.
The tournament was attended by 35 employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The prize-winning places were distributed as follows: among women, Vita Sharovarska won first place, Olena Mykoliuk took second place and Nataliia Palamarchuk third; among men, Valerii Dombrovskyi won first place, Oleksii Solodkyi took second place and Kyrylo Hrabchak took third place.
For reference: In addition to the funds raised during the Charity Tournament, the employees of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament raised over UAH 1 million for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular for the purchase of FPV drones, in March 2024 alone.
